By what finally I've got some time to unbox some of the trinkets and things I have received Japan. Most of them are Apple accessories but this AM / FM radio Pocket Sony ingenious waiting.
There were actually 2 variants when I saw first this: one is only an AM tuner and this one is an AM / FM Tuner.
I AM radio card costs around 3,000 yen while the AM / FM Radio Card like this is 5,500 yen. I got this last with a painting of Mount Fuji on the cover. Other designs cost a little more (6,000 yen).
The radio card is similar to a credit card size and is only a couple of millimeters thinner. Controls are placed on the face and back. Adjustment is done manually via a serrated, dial as its analogue radio regularly.
Also comes with a headset that is hidden in the side pull. Really expected to a 3.5 mm audio connector, but there is no way you are stuck with integrated earpiece.
Another deficiency (depending on on how your eyes) is used by the drive battery disposable type. It would have been nice if you include an ion rechargeable lithium instead, but I guess that it would take up more space.
Bets on the radio card is thin and light form factor and very long life battery: FM 55 hours and 120 hours on AM. Better for when it is on long journeys or travel to places with limited or no electricity. IMO, is also an element of pleasant gift this Christmas.
