Archos 70 him out in the flesh!

Therefore we have the most popular variant of the Archos Android this year tablets Archos 70. There is a limited number of units locally and release has been delayed twice, but the local distributor of Archos was able to obtain a review of us drive.

Having tried the largest Archos 101, I must admit that it seeks to Archos 70 thinner and thinner (much thinner than the Galaxy tab or the superior of Cherry Mobile) and light. I think it is just the right size for an internet tablet.

Archos A70 Internet Tablet
display of as @ capacitive screen of 800 × 480 pixels
1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU
playback of HD video 720 p
VGA camera
HDMI, USB port
8 GB or 250 GB Flash hard drive model
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
Price 250 GB Archos 70: Php16, 990
Price of 8 GB Archos 70: Php15, 490

There has been a huge demand for these tablets that delays in shipments are due to lack of supply. I was told that Europe won the first shipments and drives are still in short supply. Units were initially scheduled to arrive in the Philippines in November, but it was delayed until December.

Ready for this month only available units would be 8 GB Archos 70, while 250 GB variant will be available in January. Php15, retail selling price 490 remains valid.

The appliance still runs on Android 2.1 Eclair, but should be ready for an upgrade to Froyo now (only invoiced 2.0.54 is above firmware update). While the update is available through the OTA, Archos recommends downloading the full update to a computer, and then transferred via USB update. Publish my full review of the Archos 70 soon.
